‘King of golf tournaments’ stepping down from his throne
“After this many years, I just think that it’s time to let somebody else do it,” Harold Moss said. “And I’ll still do anything I can to help them.” (Patrick Lantrip/The Daily Memphian)
Harold Moss, the mastermind behind the Memphis Area Association of Realtors Commercial Council Make-A-Wish Golf Tournament, will step away from the fundraiser after this year.
Moss reigned as chairman of the tournament committee for 15 years — since its inception.
He built the tournament from a passion for giving back to sick children and a love for golf. The tournament stands as the single largest donor given to Make-A-Wish Mid-South outside events curated by the nonprofit.
