Hattiloo backs away from church redevelopment 

Hattiloo Theatre will not create a community theatre inside the 5,000-square-foot old Brick Church at 299 Chelsea Ave.

Andy Greenman, communications coordinator for the Memphis and Shelby County Community Redevelopment Agency, said the Hattiloo board decided against pursuing the space and now the agency is searching for a new tenant.
