College students want to flip a house in every state — starting in Memphis

The first time Beau Elkington walked through the house at 1069 Blythe St., he both fell through the floor — and fell in love.
Now Elkington and his childhood friend Jace Yerty are renovating the circa-1894 house in Cooper-Young as part of their mission to revitalize one home in every state through their real estate business Limestone Land Investments.
“I’m a big art guy, and just looking at the house, we can make this a beautiful portrait,” said Yerty, a student at California Polytechnic State University. “The history of that area is so cool, and we’re going in with some funky colors to fit the vibe of the area. So we’re just really excited.”
