Ashlar Hall’s restoration was ‘anything but simple’

For nearly 10 years, developer Juan Montoya has spent thousands of hours restoring historic Ashlar Hall.
Montoya, who bought the 129-year-old stone mansion in a tax sale for $59,000 in 2016, has done everything from restoring the millwork to replacing the roof.
Now the historic 11,100-square-foot mansion at 1397 Central Ave. is on the market for $3 million.
