As the Overton Park Shell marks 90 years, the historic venue is launching a nearly $2 million expansion aimed at giving touring artists the backstage experience they deserve.
The non-profit organization expects to start construction this summer on an expanded artist lounge behind the iconic shell-shaped stage.
“It’s a dynamic state-of-the-art space that can allow the Shell to expand its reach for supporting national, local and regional touring artists in a way that really takes care of them,” said Natalie Wilson, executive director.
