Singapore-based company buys North Memphis warehouses from Cargill

One agribusiness giant is adding to its local presence while another is reducing its footprint.
Olam Argri Americas Inc. bought a 49.4-acre property at 2747 Matthews St. and 2751 Matthews St. from Cargill Inc. for $5.8 million. The company plans on keeping the facility active.
The property has several cotton warehouses built in the 1920s with a total of 988,458 square feet, according to the Shelby County property assessor.
