New Memphis data center shuns tax incentives

When a new company decides to locate in Shelby County, it generally applies for some sort of tax abatement through the Economic Development Growth Engine for Memphis and Shelby County.

But as a new data center is being developed on Getwell Road, the company behind the project is doing so without a tax freeze.
