Proposed Olive Branch industrial park put on hold

A controversial proposed development in Olive Branch appears to have been put on hold.
Developers of the proposed DeSoto Innovation District near Church and Craft roads have withdrawn their application for the project, according to meeting documents for the city’s Board of Aldermen meeting Tuesday night, Sept. 1.
The documents say the application for the industrial park was withdrawn but don’t state why. Mayor Ken Adams and Planning Director Venard Asongayi did not respond to a request for comment or information on the decision. Bob Barber and Dudley Bridgforth, Jr., the two men who presented project plans to the board, also did not respond.
