EEOC sues FedEx for way disabled workers treated
In 2020, FedEx paid $3.3 million to more than 220 deaf and hard-of-hearing people the EEOC alleged were turned down for jobs or denied accommodations in violation of the ADA. FedEx denied wrongdoing in the settlement. (The Daily Memphian file)
The EEOC lawsuit says FedEx violated the Americans with Disability Act by not providing accommodations for workers loading and unloading freight.
