Several FedEx Freight executives said at Investor Day in New York on Wednesday, April 8, it has many goals before it goes public June 1 — including tapping into four key industries to grow revenue and focusing on a sales team located throughout the U.S. to better serve both medium and small businesses.
Those changes, among others, are aimed at creating better customer service and profitability as the company prepares for its separation from FedEx Corp. in the coming months.
Mike Lyons, FedEx Freight chief specialized services and commercial officer, said the company has hired more than 500 sales representatives for its less-than-truckload operations nationwide.
