Abortion pill debate reaches FedEx annual meeting

The abortion pill debate spilled into FedEx Corp.’s annual stockholder meeting on Monday, Sept. 28.

Stockholders voted down a proposal to assess the risks of shipping the drugs mifepristone and misoprostol — one of three stockholder proposals. The other two proposals called for an independent board chair and lower thresholds to call a special meeting, which preliminarily passed.
