Christ Community moving drive-thru COVID testing
As of Monday, Aug. 31, all of Christ Community Health Services’ drive-thru coronavirus testing will take place on a site off of Lamar Avenue.
The testing will occur 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1720 RSK Commercial Cove. The site formerly housed the Lamar vehicle inspection station.
Those interested in being tested are asked to pre-register by either texting Test2020 to 91999 or by calling (901) 842-3160.
The organization said the move will increase its testing capacity to up to 500 people per day.
Since beginning in March, Christ Community reports having tested more than 20,000 through drive-thru testing at Third Street and in Hickory Hill.
