For the first time in more than a decade, the Budweiser Clydesdales were back in the Memphis area, making appearances at several Kroger stores.
On Wednesday, Jan. 8, an estimated 500 to 600 people braved the cold weather for a rare chance to see the full hitch of horses in Arlington.
“It’s been 11 years since they’ve been here,” said Michael Azbill, brand manager of Eagle Distributing Co., the local Budweiser wholesaler. “It will probably be another 10 or 11 before they come back.”
The horses also visited the Kroger at 3685 S. Houston Levee Road in Collierville, and the Germantown Kroger at 7735 Farmington Blvd.
