Daily Jigsaw: Botanic bloom
With spring right around the corner, hundreds of thousands of tulips are expected to emerge from the Memphis Botanic Garden grounds.
The botanic garden planted the tulips, which come in 30 different varieties, according to Olivia Wall, director of marketing and communication. Normally, the botanic garden features 10,000-15,000 tulips.
“It’s a transformational increase in both volume and visual impact,” Wall said.
Those tulips are part of a three-month event series the Botanic Garden calls “Bloom: A Million of Shades of Spring.”
