Daily Jigsaw: Baptist groundbreaking
On Thursday, April 30, construction workers were busy building the first stages of something Fayette County has not had for more than a decade: a hospital.
Baptist Memorial Medical Group executives, elected officials and others gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of a $27 million facility they said will benefit more than 40,000 residents in the region.
Baptist officials said the hospital should employ about 25 people with eight emergency room beds and eight in-patient beds.
