Daily Jigsaw: Closing Outdoors Inc.
After serving countless customers and being a pivotal figure in the local hiking, biking and outdoors community for 52 years, Joe Royer and staff announced they’re closing Outdoors Inc.
Royer said there’s no definite date on when he’ll close the doors.
“It’s been a great, great run,” said Royer, 78. “It’s been a lot of fun. It’s a great way to make a living.”
When Royer started his business, he worked with a rotary telephone. There were no computers or fax machines. Vendors of major equipment would sell to him and his staff, and they would serve customers.
