Special teams play is always important in high school football, but when Lausanne and Christian Brothers get together, it seems to take on even greater importance.

Last season’s game was determined by a blocked extra point attempt that was picked up and scored for a two-point conversion. That utterly bizarre play won the game for Lausanne 8-7. 

The shoe was on the other foot on Friday night, however. Not only did the Brothers block a 40-yard field goal attempt and return it 75 yards for a touchdown on the stroke of half-time, but they also returned the opening kickoff of the second half 90 yards for another score.
