U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tennessee, is coming to Memphis five days after entering the race for Tennessee Governor.
But a Monday, Aug. 11, roundtable discussion she’s hosting at PURE Academy — about “what more we can do at the federal, state and local levels to support our youth, reduce violent crime and encourage positive development” — will not be open to the public, according to information obtained by The Daily Memphian.
A “small group of local press” has been invited to the event, according to the information. The Daily Memphian is not among the media outlets included.
