It’s Tuesday, Jan. 13, and the 114th Tennessee General Assembly convenes in Nashville today with an aggressive, but perhaps quick, agenda.
Memphis and Shelby County in the legislature’s spotlight, once again, especially with last year’s school system takeover legislation just needing to be reconciled between the Senate and the House.
But, with it being an election year, there seems to also be an impetus among some of the elected officials to wrap things up quickly.
