The AM/DM podcast: All the cooking contests and Elvis
If this weekend has a theme, it’s food competitions for a good cause.
You can try your hand at winning a chili cook-off for Peabody Elementary Saturday, March 7, or a gumbo contest for the Tennessee Equality Project on Sunday, March 8. More of an eater than a cooker? Soupstock is also Sunday, benefitting First Congo Food Justice, and participants can sample soup flights for 10 local chefs.
There are also Elvis Tribute Artists in town to perform and roller derby lessons, so one might be able to skate, rattle and roll.
Newsletter editor Bianca Phillips is here to tell us all about them.
