The AM/DM podcast: A new EMT team is on a roll

The Memphis Fire Department has a new way to handle emergency medical services:

On a bike.

MFD launched an emergency medical services bike team this week in conjunction with Victory Bicycle Studio. The idea is that bikes can get to medical emergencies — heat stroke, heart attacks, seizures — faster than a regular ambulance during community festivals and other events.

Today on the show, we’ve got Wallis Rogin, one of our summer interns, to tell us all about it.

Come along for the ride.
