A Muslim, Jewish and Christian comedian will grace the stage at Crosstown Theater for a night of laughs and conversations.

Memphis Friendship Foundation (MFF) is hosting a comedy night in partnership with Laugh in Peace Comedy Tour on Jan. 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Crosstown Concourse, 1350 Concourse Ave.

The show will include stand-up comedians Gibran Saleem, Rabbi Bob Alper and Rev. Susan Sparks.

MFF is a local nonprofit that started in a partnership between Memphis Islamic Center (MIC) and Heartsong Church.

Both Laugh in Peace and MFF “share an inspiring philosophy – that conversation and laughter between people of different backgrounds can build a lasting legacy of friendship and peace,” according to the Eventbrite page.

“We believe an evening where all races, cultures and faiths gather to laugh together will create mutual understanding and respect that will send ripples of healing into the Greater Memphis area,” said MFF executive director Steve Stone.

Tickets are $27 and can be purchased on Eventbrite. All funds will go to MFF to help expand its services.
