Some Memphis firefighters are already working hand in paw with Memphis Animal Services. Cody Jenne and Will Meskenas, above, of Fire Station 20 in Longview Heights were among the first firefighters to participate in a partnership with Memphis Animal Services that temporarily places dogs like Juice, a two-year-old lab mix, in area fire stations until they can find a forever home.
