City Council’s special session to decide MLGW labor impasse
A labor contract impasse between Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division and MLGW employees represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers will be the focus of a special City Council meeting. (Houston Cofield/Daily Memphian file)
The Tuesday afternoon meeting should be short with the labor contract impasse the only item on the agenda. The meeting technically continues last week’s meeting, which was recessed to allow for the special meeting.
