Riverside Drive to close — but Tom Lee Park will stay open — during most of May
Tom Lee Park will remain open to the public between the Riverbeat Music Festival (May 3-5) and the SmokeSlam barbecue contest (May 16-18) and will open again four days after the competition awards its first barbecue honors. (Brad Vest/The Daily Memphian file)
Riverside Drive closes, as it has for decades, on April 22. But Tom Lee Park will be partially open between the Riverbeat and SmokeSlam events in May.
