Story of Winston the golden retriever highlights Animal Services’ issues
Last week, Becky Williams saw Rhett’s photo online and knew she had to adopt the golden retriever from Memphis Animal Services.
So she and her husband Kevin drove to MAS last Saturday, June 29, and met Rhett. They fell in love immediately, filled out all the paperwork and were ready to take Rhett home.
Then, in what seems to be a familiar tale at the city-run animal shelter, the Williamses ran into problems. They went home “disappointed and frustrated.”
