Police report sheds light on shooting that led to federal judge’s recusal

A 2024 shooting ultimately led to a federal judge recusing himself from the case of the former Memphis police officers convicted in the 2023 death of Tyré Nichols.

On Tuesday, Sept. 2, The Daily Memphian obtained an MPD report that gives more details on that shooting.
