Walk-up coronavirus testing will be available from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 17 at Christ Community Health Services’ Orange Mound Health Center.

The testing will take place in the parking lot, located at 2569 Douglass Ave., behind the Orange Mound Community Center.

Patients are asked to pre-register by calling (901) 842-3160 or texting TEST2020 to 91999. Patients are also asked to wear a face mask/covering and practice social distancing. Testing is free, but a valid phone number is required to be tested.

Patients who walk up to the site on the day of the event will be able to get tested.

The goal of the walk-up testing is to allow people without transportation, and therefore unable to access drive-thru testing, an opportunity to be tested for coronavirus.
