MSCS sues PowerSchool over data breach
In its lawsuit, Memphis-Shelby County Schools claims that PowerSchool has yet to directly communicate with the students, families and staff whose information was stolen. That’s 485,267 former and current MSCS students plus 23,903 MSCS employees, a fraction of PowerSchool’s estimated 60 million users. (The Daily Memphian file)
The software company stores personal information for students and their families, including addresses and Social Security numbers.
