The Shelby County Election Commission’s ongoing four-day delay in posting a list of candidates qualified for the May 5 primary ballot has probably caused a few political ripples.

It also likely complicated a would-be challenge of Marie Feagins’ bid for Shelby County mayor in the Democratic primary. 

But the effort to remove her from the ballot did not yield its intended results.
