DeSoto supervisor’s federal lawsuit dismissed

A federal lawsuit filed by DeSoto County Supervisor Robert Foster over a controversial judicial subdistrict in the area has been dismissed, court records show.
The lawsuit was dismissed with mutual consent of all involved, which included Gov. Tate Reeves, Secretary of State Michael Watson and Attorney General Lynn Fitch. The lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice, meaning it could be brought back again at some point.
Neither Foster nor a representative for his legal team responded to a request for comment.
