Memphis man charged with killing wife in Fiji draws international attention

The case of a Memphis resident accused of killing his wife on their honeymoon in Fiji has drawn international attention since the alleged murder on July 9.
Bradley Robert Dawson, 38, was arrested in Fiji and charged with one count of murder after his wife of several months, Christe Chen Dawson, 39, was found dead in their hotel room.
International tabloids including the New York Post and Daily Mail, as well as People Magazine and The Daily Beast have been covering Chen Dawson’s death. Fijian Prosecutors in the case are seeking a court order to obtain DNA evidence from Dawson after he refused to submit to forensic testing, the Fiji Sun reported.
Dawson worked in IT at Youth Villages. Youth Villages has suspended Dawson pending further investigation, according to Fox 13 Memphis.
Chen Dawson was a pharmacist at Kroger and a graduate of the UTHSC Pharmacy School. The couple lived in Cooper-Young and were married in January of 2022.
Dawson will remain in Fijian custody until a High Court hearing on July 27, per the Fiji Sun.
