Three kids shot in Orange Mound, MPD says
Three kids were shot in Orange Mound Monday night, the Memphis Police Department said in an email statement.
MPD public information officer Christopher Williams wrote that at 5:35 p.m. officers found three juveniles with gunshot wounds in the 3000 block of Douglass Avenue.
They were transported to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in non-critical condition.
Williams said that the shooting appears to be accidental. All three of the victims were boys. Two were 16 and one was 13.
One was issued a juvenile summons for possession of a handgun.
