Midtown convenience store shut down due to repeated criminal activity
Shelby County District Attorney General Steve Mulroy and Memphis Police Department Chief Cerelyn "C.J." Davis announce the closure of the Snappy Mart Dec. 7. “You have to be sensitive to the fact that shutting down the business might be bad for the neighborhood but in a case like that when there’s such a sustained pattern, you’ve got to do something,” Mulroy said. Shelby County District Attorney General Mulroy said 600 calls for service have been made to the property in the last two years and 60 arrests have been made there this year alone.
