A man charged with murder at age 17, and whose charges were later dismissed, is suing the Memphis Police Department for $5 million.
Ladarrius Perry, now 20, filed suit in federal court in December 2024 alleging that he was arrested and prosecuted without probable cause, which led to a 2 1/2 year stint in the Shelby County Jail, also known as 201 Poplar.
