More than 10 days after a shooting that claimed the life of an Ole Miss football player after a Cordova pool party, law enforcement officials have made no arrests.

Corey Adams, an 18-year-old freshman defensive end from New Orleans, was found just before 10:15 p.m. in a car at the intersection of Forest Hill-Irene and Walnut Grove roads, less than a mile away from a party at 71 Fern Glade Cove. Despite lifesaving efforts, Adams was pronounced dead there.

Four others with gunshot wounds were taken by private vehicles to area hospitals. Officials would not release their names Wednesday, July 30, but said earlier at least three of the victims were treated and released from area hospitals.
