A manhunt for a man accused of opening fire at police officers Monday morning led law enforcement officers to Springfield, Missouri.

Geronimo Kee, who remains in custody, was originally held on a $175,000 bond, but some critics — including the Memphis Police Association — said that amount was too low. 

The police association’s leadership issued a news release Monday that said the association was “stunned to learn” that Kee, who has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and two other felonies, had his bond set at $175,000.
