Questions linger for Marsha Blackburn on phone records pay out

The day after the federal government shutdown ended, U.S. Sens. Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty reacted to the Senate amendment that was the last barrier to passing the funding bill essential to ending the 42-day stoppage.

Blackburn and Hagerty are part of a group of eight Republican senators whose phone records were subpoenaed and reviewed by Special Counsel Jack Smith in his investigation of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection.
