Next step for Memphis Slim Collaboratory is out in the backyard
The Memphis Slim House on College Street in South Memphis has plans to build an amphitheater on a newly purchased lot behind the house. Artists will have to pay to use the space but performances will be free for attendees. (Memphis Slim Collaboratory/Merger Works)
The music nonprofit is expanding performance opportunities for musicians. The new space is a vacant half-acre lot behind the site of the renowned blues musician’s family home.
