This U of M senior says God saved him from destruction. Now, he’s stepping out in faith with gospel-themed shoes
Joshua Oldham is a University of Memphis senior who started his own Christian-themed shoe and apparel business, Gospel of Peace Kicks. (Mark Weber/The Daily Memphian)
For Joshua Oldham, Gospel of Peace Kicks is much more than a clothing company. It is a way for him to give thanks to God and hope to others, after a dark and dangerous battle with addiction and depression.
“Jesus saved me from suicide,” the University of Memphis student said. “He did so much for me. And because I love and appreciate him, the least I can do is start a business for his purposes.”
The company sells Christian-themed shoes, T-shirts and hoodies with graffiti-style designs he created, and it is regularly adding to its product line.
