State proposal could deny bail for six more types of offenses
The Tennessee General Assembly is considering a measure to give judges the authority to deny bail to defendants accused of a host of serious crimes. The proposed amendment to the Tennessee Constitution requires it to appear on the ballot for the next gubernatorial election.
