NASHVILLE — As the current Tennessee General Assembly legislative session draws to a close, bills are facing do-or-die moments in committees.
State House of Representatives and state Senate floor sessions are occurring three times a week as opposed to the once-a-week meetings earlier in the session.
Committees anxious to close out their calendars have had marathon meetings the last two weeks sometimes lasting more than three hours at a time.
