Past the one-month mark for the Memphis Safe Task Force, the presence of National Guard troops is being debated in a Nashville courtroom.
A Davidson County chancellor holds a hearing Monday, Nov. 3, on the lawsuit by Memphis elected officials challenging Gov. Bill Lee’s deployment of the National Guard to the city.
Meanwhile, sightings of the Guard are giving way to sightings of and concerns about Immigrations and Customs Enforcement — or ICE — officers.
