About Town: Widening roads and recycling tires
The Binghampton Development Corporation has begun installing bike lane barriers along Broad Avenue. The barriers are made of repurposed illegally dumped tires. (Brad Vest/Special to The Daily Memphian)
If new barriers are deemed effective on Broad Avenue, they could be used in other areas of the city. Plus, a project finally gets going in Southeast Memphis.
