Old Porter Junior High moves toward makeover
The old Porter Junior High School hasn’t been a school for more than 40 years but is still known as that despite various other uses throughout the last four decades. That is the name the renovated multi-use center will use with its planned opening in the summer of 2025. (Bill Dries/The Daily Memphian)
The old school building is undergoing a renovation to an early childhood center run by Porter-Leath, with a museum dealing with the rich history of the area to come in a later phase.
