Pastors take steps to control task force impact on their congregations
Church parking lots have been convenient places for state and federal law enforcement officers to meet up.
They are often centrally located in areas where the Memphis Safe Task Force has been conducting operations since Sept. 29.
But they also have come to represent a line of sorts that the pastors of several churches have drawn. The symbolic line marks where their cooperation with the task force ends. It signifies their opposition to MSTF and their concern about its impact on the life of the city.
