Opinion: The next mayor of Memphis should be a Memphian
John Carroll
John Carroll is not from Memphis, but fell in love with this place after moving here in 2004. He is the executive director of City Leadership and founder of the local campaigns called Choose901, Teach901, Serve901, and Give901. He and his wife Hayley live in Midtown and share five children.
“Memphis should be led by someone who actually lives here, is committed to the city, and has demonstrated that commitment throughout their career.”
