There’s a paint and sip “Ugly Sweater Night” — with comedy by Rob Love — at Rumba Room and nationally touring comic Dan Altern is headlining a show at the Flyway Comedy Club.
The Memphis Listening Lab is hosting a birthday listening session for the late Alex Chilton, of Box Tops and Big Star fame. And Lafayette’s Music Room is hosting a White Trash Christmas Bash, after Christmas, with Mustache The Band playing ’90s country hits. And mustaches will be provided!

Mary Cashiola has been a Memphis journalist for nearly two decades, beginning her career covering city government and local neighborhoods at the Memphis Flyer before being hired by Memphis Mayor A C Wharton’s administration.
Before joining The Daily Memphian, she was the managing editor of the Memphis Business Journal, which was named one of the top 10 Best Designed Newspapers in the world by the Society of News Design while she was there.
