James Wiseman showed the talents worthy of his ranking as the  No. 1 player in the Class of 2019 distinction at the recent Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, Oregon.

Praise poured in Thursday night while he was practicing in front of gathered reporters and analysts.

The East High center recorded 12 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks in 22 minutes for Team USA's 93-87 win over Team World.

Wiseman blocked just about anything coming at the rim with his height and long arms. That was no exception Thursday night. The offense knew where the future anchor to coach Penny Hardaway's defense was at all times. If they lost him he'd block their shot.

Team USA shot 51 percent from the floor. Wiseman himself made six of his eight shots. He missed his only shot from outside the 3-point line

National basketball analysts heaped more praise on Wiseman after his performance with Team USA. He's projected as the No. 1 selection in the 2020 NBA Draft by many of the same experts.

Announcers during the game thought the 7-foot-1 center could make some noise in the NBA if he were drafted straight out of high school.

Trendon Watford and DJ Jeffries will join Wiseman as part of the away team in next week's Jordan Brand Classic game. The three of them have never played on the same team before next Saturday.

Precious Achiuwa, another five-star Tigers target, scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the All-Star game. Neither Jeffries or Watford played in the Nike sponsored event, but they did play in the Jack Jones Shootout in Memphis.
