St. Louis Cardinals’ top prospect promoted to Memphis

JJ Wetherholt, the St. Louis Cardinals’ top prospect, was reassigned to Memphis from Double-A Springfield on Monday, July 7.
The No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft is scheduled to join the Redbirds before the team’s six-game homestand at AutoZone Park against the Charlotte Knights. That series begins Tuesday with a 7:05 p.m. game.
